Abstract:
The Plan for Modernisation of Agriculture, PMA, is a framework which sets out the
strategic vision and principles upon which interventions to address poverty eradication
through transformation of the agricultural sector can be developed. The PMA core document sets out these principles, but also identifies priorities for interventions and activities in the form of seven pillars, to be implemented by various government ministries
and local government, and a non-sectoral conditional grant (NSCG) to be administered
by the PMA Secretariat but allocated though local government.
