Abstract:
In 1992, the MAAIF with assistance from Danida completed the Dairy Sector Master
Plan. The lack of an organised livestock improvement programme was identified
amongst others as a major constraint to dairy development. To address the constra.nt5,
MAAIF with the assistance of Danida formulated the Cattle Breeding Project (C313: .
which has been operational since 1994. In 1996 a Mid-Term Review (MTR) was
carried out.
