Abstract:
The year 1995 was characterised by outbreaks of Foot and Mouth Disease and flare ups of Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia as a result of illegal livestock movements particularly in the South and South Western regions. The situation was exarcebated by the Rwandese cattle movement and violation of quarantine regulations in some districts.
