Abstract:
Prunus africana is an important tree that provides
timber, medicine, fuel wood, poles, bee forage,
mulch, shade and windbreak.
It is easily propagated through seed and is
currently regarded as one of the high value tree
species because of the multiple uses.
It is in light of these attributes that research has
identified this species as one of the most
important indigenous tree species with potential
for agroforestry.
