Most rural households are resource-poor, food-insecure and vulnerable to climate change. This is especially due to a growing population pressures which have resulted into increased demand for food, water and energy. Consequently, there is decline in farm productivity, over-exploitation of trees in agricultural landscapes and deforestation. Decline in crop productivity is more evident in the highland areas of Uganda.
