Abstract:

A study conducted in Kumi, Katakwi and Lira
districts in, 2002 identified Markhamia lutea as a
an important source of poles and fuel used by
many households in Teso and Lango. In addition,
the tree serves effectively as a windbreak,
boundary marker, shade and ornamental.
