Abstract:
The goal of the training was to build capacity of agro-forestry farmers to grow and mange trees for
commercial purposes on farmers' gardens. The purposes for which the training was organized
included the following:
Build capacity of the farmers to mobilize the community members for agro-forestry skills
Build capacity of farmers to work in groups
Build the capacity of farmers in the importance of gender in agro-forestry research and
development activities
Build capacity of farmers in the contribution of trees to food security and the economy
Build capacity of farmers in seed collection and processing
Build capacity of farmers in tree nursery establishment and management
Build capacity of farrnerslon-farm tree management
