Abstract:
Guided by its mandate to contribute to the Plan for Modernisation of Agriculture in
Uganda, NARO has been proactively seeking innovative ways to improve the flow of
agriculture technology to farmers and respond to their needs, priorities and demands. In
order to intensify its outreach and make its services increasingly client driven, NARO has
solicited strategic partnerships with NGOs in the agriculture sector. In order to develop
these partnerships, NARO has held consultations with a selected number of NGOs to
assess the prospects for collaboration with them in participatory research and extension
