Abstract:
The low adoption and productivity of prioritized crops in the zone
has been attributed to poor soil nutrient management, lack of
improved varieties and poor crop production practices.
The main causes of lack of quality improved planting materials are
lack of cost effective methods of seed multiplication and a
sustainable seed delivery system. The apparent poor nutrient status
has been attributed to lack of cost effective soil nutrient
amendment options for enhancing crop productivity
