Abstract:
Potato production has been idendfiedls'a pbtential trigger in Eastern Uganda for
alleviation of both food and income insecurity. There are however, a number of
constraints #fecting optinmm production that's over 90% of the farmers depend on
farm saved seed or sprouted ware tubers sourced from local markets, high prevalence of potato diseases and pests which has #fected the potato productivity
