Abstract:
Buwalasi Coffee Farmers Association (BCFA) is a farmer's organization of a
group of farmers that specialize in the growing of Arabica coffee along the slopes
of Mount Elgon using agronomic practices. The Association which is affiliated to
NUCAFE was started in 1995 as a farmers group under Bugisu Cooperative
union (BCU).
The association is an umbrella organization for coffees farmers groups in
Buwalasi Sub County of Sironko district through which farmers grow and sell
coffee. The association which was started by a group of nine members presently
