Abstract:

The control of aquatic weeds in Africa, including Eichhornia crassipes, Azolla filiculoides, Myriophyllum aquaticum, Pistia stratiotes and Salvinia molesta, is described in this chapter. The control methods discussed include mechanical, chemical and biological control. The distribution of the weeds in the continent is also discussed.
