Abstract:

Uganda’s biodiversity has a high economic value, locally, nationally and globally.
Biological resources supply goods for
consumption and production, as well as
providing ecosystem services which
provide the underlying support for
human settlement and economic activity.
Maintaining biodiversity also allows for
the possibility carrying out new
economic activities in the future, and has
an intrinsic value irrespective of its
current or potential uses.
