Abstract:
The Livelihoods of millions of farmers in Eastern and central Africa have been threatened by the devastating epidemic of banana Xanthomonas wilt, BXW, caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. musacearum. The disease is wide spread and has been reported in Eastern and Central Africa.
