Abstract:
In Uganda, Livestock is an important component of the agricultural sector and economic development. Among all livestock types, by far the dairy sector was identified as a high potential to enhance food and nutrition security, accelerate economic development and eradicate poverty in rural and urban families (NPA, 2010, MAAIF, 2010). There is an increasing trend in livestock growth estimated at 4% because of the competitive endowments of favourable climate and fertile soils which provide good grazing conditions.
