Abstract:
Beans have not been an important food crop in Teso. With a number of schools and other institutions, the consumption of beans is rapidly increasing. At burial occasions beans is the main source since it is cheaper and more nutritious than other legumes. The Ministry of Agriculture Animal industry and Fisheries, has introduced anew variety of bean called K132.This variety is high yielding and early maturing. The objective of this brochure is to provide guidelines to assist a farmer to get good yields.
