Abstract:

Arabica coffee grows at high altitudes, between 1300 - 2300m above sea level. For good growth temperature range of 15 —24 OC is ideal. Average rainfall of 12001500 mm/year and well distributed over a period of about 9 months is desirable. Flat or gently slopping terrain is preferable. It grows well on deep, well drained, fertile slightly acidic loamy soils of pH range of 4.5 to 5..
