Abstract:
Citrus has its origin in Southern China, Northern, East India and South East Asia. The first introductions of citrus in Uganda were in 1969 and 1990. Citrus and its close relatives belong to the diverse family Rutaceae. The genus Citrus comprises several species which represent the important commercial varieties of the genus;
