Abstract:
The International Potato Center (CIP) is preparing a strategic plan to
guide our activities for the next ten years. This document was prepared by
the staff of Region III to serve two functions. First and most important,
it will provide a framework for discussions with the leaders of the
National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) in eastern, central, and
southern Africa; to help us to better focus our research and training
programs on the needs of farmers and other potential users of technology.
Second, it will serve as an input into CIP's broader planning process,
highlighting the specific characteristics and needs of this region.
