Abstract:
Acreage statistics were tabulated as an appendix to the report of the Department of Agriculture for the first time in 1915 (Jameson & Stephens, in Jameson (Ed.) pp.281) Since then the basic source of Agricultural Statistics (AS) in Uganda was the Department of Agriculture. The department worked to improve statistics. of acreage cultivated in Uganda.
