Abstract:
Asexual or vegetative propagation of plants is reproduction by means of vegetative structures such as roots, stems, leaves, or flowers. These plant parts contain primary tissue which has g:t the ability to grow and develop into new plants that are genetically similar to the parent material. In some instances, attacks from pests and diseases may cause some morphological differences. This type of plant material propagation gives rise to clones (coffee, passion fruit) with the same genetic constitution.
