Abstract:
Rwebitaba Tea Research Station is located in Kyenjojo District, on Mubende — Fort Portal road,
and some 20km from Fort Portal. The station has a acreage of 69 ^-aares. It was established
in early 1960s as a tea research institute of East Africa.
The station was working well until the East African Community collapsed in 1977; and as far as
Uganda was concerned, the activities of Tea Research at the station were scaled down
significantly.
