Abstract:
To emphasize applied and adaptive research by taking advantage of new germplasm and other research technologies from the IARCs and national organizations. To concentrate research on those crops which have the highest potential to meet domestic food supplies and export requirements. To give special attention to research which will minimize agricultural inputs without unduly sacrificing production.
