Abstract:
The subcommittee was commissioned by the Food and
Nutritional Council and like the Council itself, the Subcommittee
was multisectoral. Work involved research, collection of and
reference to documents relating to sectoral policies and plans,
relevant literature from international bodies and consultation
with individual and institutional expertise. Draft proposals
were subsequently discussed at a national workshop and the
present document is a result of that draft with modifications
made at the workshop.
