Abstract:
The Ministry of Animal Industry and Fisheries was charged
with the development of the livestock and fisheries resources.
It was established soon after Independence in the early 1960's
as a Ministry of Animal Industry, Game and Fisheries. Later
on, the Department of Game was transferred to the Ministry of
Tourism and Wildlife and in 1978 a new Department of Tsetse
Control was created.
