In an effort to develop new technologies, the
Agroforestry research and development
programme is undertaking research in identifying
more tree species that can give a variety of tree
products and services on-farm. This is aimed at:
Enhancing welfare and income of farmers by
providing tree options with market potential
Conserving tree diversity by bringing useful
tree species onto people's farms for
cultivation
