Abstract:

Tress can be planted for many reasons, among others are to provide tree products and services, as a form of insurance for times of hardship, a saving scheme to cover school fees or as a retirement package. Choosing the right tree species has been a very difficult task for those who want to plant. The Agroforestry Programme through its initiatives of bringing more tree species on-farm has therefore been selecting and evaluating selected high value tree species for the various tree products.
