Abstract: Wheat (Triticum eastivum L), basically a temperate crop, is adapted to the south western highlands of Uganda in the districts of Kisoro and Kabale and, in eastern Uganda on the slopes of Mt. Elgon in Kapchorwa, Sironko and Mbale districts.
