Abstract:
Potato production has been identified as a potential trigger in Eastern Uganda for alleviation of both food and income insecurity. There are however, a number of constraints affecting optimum production that’s; over 90% of the farmers depend on farm saved seed or sprouted ware tubers sourced from local markets, high prevalence of potato diseases and pests which have affected the potato productivity.
