Abstract:
Uganda Biosciences Information Center (UBIC) is an information hub that develops, produces,
and disseminates information on modern biosciences and biotechnology advances in agricultural
research in Uganda so as to facilitate informed decision making about biotechnology application
and regulation. Established in 2011, our mandate comes from the National Agricultural Research
Organisation (NAR0)- the overall coordinating body of agricultural research in Uganda. UBIC is
hosted at the National Crops Resources Research Institute (NaCRRI) at Namulonge in Wakiso
district.
