Abstract:
The Livestock Nutrition Research Programme is one of the four programmes that constitute the Livestock Resources Research Institute (NaLIRRI) located in Eastern region (Tororo District) of the country. The programme seeks to contribute to improved food and nutritional security, household incomes and stability of the bio-physical and socio-economic components of the production environment in a participatory and client-oriented approach. Specifically, the programme seeks to generate and disseminate technologies and information that directly addresses animal nutritional challenges in the country. During recent times, the programme has made considerable progress in the area of technology and information generation. In this brochure, we highlight key accomplishments of the programme in relation to technology and information generation.
