Abstract:
The West Nile agro-ecological zone is located in North-Western Uganda and comprises of
the districts of Ara, Yumbe, Nebbi, Moyo and Adjumani. Abi ARDC located in Arita is the
research centre mandated to carry out research Ior this zone. The zone is bordered by the
Democratic Republic of Congo in Me west, Ake Albert in the south. Sudan in the 'Ruth and
Chau district CaSI II IS eliffiacierised by eNtensivea savanhn grasslands :Ind highlands.
It has a moderate equatorial climate with severe short thy season in January/ February and
June.
